Pukekohe Metro Cricket Club (PMCC) was formed in 1988, as an amalgamation of the Pukekohe Cricket Club and the Metro Cricket Club, both of which were based in Pukekohe. PMCC place a huge focus on engaging with the community to increase participation in cricket across all grades. The club run various initiatives during the season which include a winter training programmes, junior muster, girls open day, summer holiday coaching programme and running cricket sessions in local primary schools.
Also of importance to the club is the development and progression of junior cricketers, PMCC have contracted a Junior Development Coach to nurture and upskill the next generation of young cricketers in the Pukekohe community. This has resulted in not only an increase in young boys and girls actively participating in cricket but also numerous players progressing to rep cricket at age group level. The club is based in the Bledisloe Park Sports Centre, John Street, Pukekohe. The building was officially opened on the 17th of September 2016 and overlooks the three cricket pitches on Bledisloe Park (two grass block and two artificial wickets).
Now the largest club in the Counties Manukau Cricket Association, PMCC has 300 playing members spread throughout junior and senior teams from age 4/5 onwards, fielding more than twenty teams each weekend across a range of junior and senior formats as well as the girls grades.​
